Stedman Mays Literary Agent was an agent with Scribblers House in New York City. He is no longer an agent. Literary Agent Stedman Mays earned his M.A. in English literature from the University of Virginia. In the past, he has taught composition and literature in the English department of Rutgers University and at Gotham Writers’ Workshop. Publishing Agent Stedman Mays was working at Clausen Associates with agents Connie Clausen and Mary Tahan at the time of Connie Clausen’s death in 1997. Stedman Mays and Mary Tahan then took over the agency and formed Clausen, Mays & Tahan. In 2003, he independently founded SCRIBBLERS HOUSE LLC Literary Agency for all new projects going forward, while continuing to represent the backlist at Clausen, Mays & Tahan with Mary Tahan.
