Book Agent Savannah Brooks joined the Jennifer De Chiara team in 2017, after interning with the agency for a year and a half she became an associate agent in 2018. She’s an MFA candidate at Hamline University, focusing in Creative Nonfiction. She worked as a publishing and literature lecturer at the University of Minnesota and a teaching artist at the Loft Literary Center, an editor at Red Bird Chapbooks, and a reader for multiple literary magazines. She earned her BS in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech and worked on the editorial side of publishing for two years prior to joining JDLA.

Savannah Brooks Literary Agent’s own creative work has been publishing in Lime Hawk, Hobart, and Every Writer’s Resource, among others. As an agent, she is especially interested in stories that teach her something new, add to a larger sociopolitical conversation, and highlight underrepresented identities and cultures.
