Rhea Lyons Literary Agent was a literary agent with HG Literary. She is no longer taking submissions. She joined the agency in 2018. Publishing Agent Rhea Lyons was studying at the University of Rochester when she started her career in publishing—she interned at Open Letter, a press which exclusively publishes literature in translation. Then she joined the Random House Publishing Group, which includes the imprints of Random House, Ballantine, Spiegel & Grau, Bantam Dell, and Del Rey, working in Subrights.

In 2011, Rhea Lyons Literary Agent became a scout at Franklin and Siegal Associates, and spent a few years helping international publishers discover and acquire new and upcoming works of nonfiction and fiction. Most recently, she was the Subsidiary Rights Director at Rodale, where she also acquired books for their adult list as well as for their newly launched children’s imprint, Rodale Kids.

In addition to being an agent, Rhea Lyons Literary Agent also handled film and television rights for the agency, and was expecting to graduate from Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema in May 2021 with a degree in Screen Studies. She was looking for writers who want to confront and destroy the status quo.
