Pamela Strickler Literary Agent was an agent with Pam Strickler Author Management in New Paltz, New York before she passed away July 18, 2013. Literary Agent Pamela Strickler formerly lived and worked 90 miles north of Manhattan in the beautiful Hudson Valley/Catskills region of New York State, where she spent her time reading, gardening, taking long walks, and, for many years, served as a volunteer educator for the Mohonk Preserve. Publishing Agent Pamela Strickler was senior editor for sixteen years at Ballantine Books and worked as an authors’ representative with her own company for more than ten years. Prior to Ballantine, Pam worked five years at Avon Books. She brought a passion for books and an inside understanding of the publishing business to the service of her clients.

Pamela Strickler Literary Agent started her agency in 2001 and previously was associated as an independent agent with the Scovil Chichak Galen Agency of New York. She also worked (1995-99) as an independent manuscript editor. Literary Agent Pamela Strickler was a member of the Association of Authors’ Representatives (AAR), an associate member of the Historical Novel Society, and of Romance Writers of America, and was a “recognized agent” by the RWA.
