Jean Naggar Literary Agent was an agent with the Jean Naggar Literary Agency in New York City. She is no longer taking on individual clients. Literary Agent Jean Naggar opened the Jean Naggar Literary Agency in 1978. Before she became an agent, she worked as a translator and editor. She has represented many bestsellers and award-winning titles in fiction and nonfiction.

Jean Naggar Literary Agent is also an author. Her poetry has been published in The Listener and Athanor, Publishers Weekly, The Village Voice, The New York Times, and Writer’s Digest. Her memoir, Sipping from the Nile: My Exodus from Egypt, was published by Stony Creek Press in 2008. It was republished under the same title by Encore in February 2012. Literary Agent Jean Naggar is a member of the International Women’s Forum, the Authors’ Guild, PEN, the Women’s Media Group, and the AAR (Association of Authors’ Representatives).
