She is no longer taking on individual clients. Literary Agent Jane Rotrosen Berkey left New York University before acquiring a degree and went to work for a small literary/dramatic agency. After a year as an assistant and an associate agent, in 1974, Publishing Agent Jane Rotrosen Berkey divided her apartment in half and hung out the shingle of Jane Rotrosen Agency. In a little over two years, the Agency had its first New York Times Bestseller. The following year, she moved the Agency to the townhouse on East 51st Street.
