Book Agent Fiona Kenshole earned a Master’s in English Literature from Cambridge University. She went on to spend two decades as a senior publisher holding key positions in the UK, as Deputy Managing Director of Hodder Children’s Books, Publishing Director at Oxford University Press Children’s Books, and Editorial Director at HarperCollins. She was nominated for “Editor of the Year” at the British Book Awards.

While Fiona Kenshole Literary Agent was a senior publisher, she published many authors, including: P.L Travers (Mary Poppins), Michael Bond (Paddington Bear), and Laureate Michael Morpurgo (War Horse). She was the UK editor for Gary Paulsen, Lois Lowry, Beverley Cleary, Bruce Coville, and Cynthia Voigt.

Fiona Kenshole Literary Agent lectured widely on children’s books including at Oxford and Cambridge Universities, and she has been on faculty as a guest speaker throughout the US, from Alaska to San Diego, and in the UK and Italy. She taught publishing to Master’s Degree students at Oxford Brookes University. She has organized children’s events for the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival.

In 2004, Literary Agent Fiona Kenshole became Vice President of Development Acquisition at Laika Inc. She moved to the USA and spent several years creating a development slate of new projects for the animation studio. She has worked with major screenwriters and directors, acquiring and adapting children’s books and original scripts into movies, including the Academy nominated, “The Boxtrolls, “Coraline,” and “Paranorman.”

Fiona Kenshole Literary Agent joined Transatlantic in 2013. Her clients’ recent successes include: Vicki Grant’s YA romcom, 36 QUESTIONS THAT CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT YOU (Running Press), which sold in 22 languages and is optioned for TV, and Rosanne Parry’s MG A WOLF CALLED WANDER (Andersen Press/Greenwillow) which spent 8 weeks in the NYT bestseller list and has sold in 11 languages.
