Book Agent Barb Roose became part of Books & Such as a client represented by Rachelle Gardner in 2014. She started writing books as a child, but never dreamed becoming an author was a real possibility. She eventually saw herself as an author who didn’t know anything about publishing, other than she was thrilled someone wanted to publish her book. Several years later, with a growing library of books with her name on the cover, she wanted to help other writers achieve their dreams. She said “yes” to joining the Books & Such Literary Management agent team in 2020. She seeks to work alongside hopeful and established authors to create the most appealing manuscripts that are marketable, and that influence readers and build lasting careers.

Barb Roose Literary Agent previously worked in non-profit management and was a multiple-award career in pharmaceutical sales. She was on her church’s staff for a decade and a half as part of the executive teaching and leadership teams. During that time in her life, she attended her first writers’ conference and received her first publishing contract.

In 2016, Barb Roose Literary Agent transitioned from her church duties to full-time writing and speaking. Her goal is teaching and leading people to overcome their fears so they can live strong, courageous lives and experience God’s great adventure of faith for them. She speaks at conferences and events in the U.S. and abroad, including on multiple national platforms.
