Claudia Menza Literary Agent was a literary agent with the Menza-Barron Literary Agency. She is no longer taking submissions. She was a partner at the agency. Book Agent Claudia Menza was the Assistant Editor of the famous (and infamous) EvergreenReview magazine, and was the Managing Editor of Grove Press. She was the Chair of the Prison Writing Committee of PEN American Canter, and she served on the Board Trustees of PEN. She was also a member of The Academy of American Poets and the Association of Authors’ Representatives, and was listed in Who’s Who.

Claudia Menza Literary Agent was also an author and has been published in many literary magazines and she has written two books of poetry: Cage of Wild Cries and The Lunatics Ball. Her “Poem for Miles Davis” appeared in The Dream Book: An Anthology of Writing by Italian-American Women, a collection which won an American Book Award. Her poem “You Say You Like the Country” appeared in the anthology I Speak of the City: Poems of New York, published in 2007 by Columbia University Press. Her play, also titled The Lunatics Ball, was produced at La Mama Theater in New York in 2006, directed by Harold Dean James.

Claudia Menza Literary Agent performed both her poetry and dramatic monologues in bookstores, theaters, and colleges throughout the United States, and toured the UK in a show entitled The Claudia and Charles Show, with Charles Frye, which was based on their literary works and their life together.
