Her first job was at Pinnacle Books as an assistant to the President, but was given books to edit only weeks after entering the position. From there, she moved to Rodale Press, and then Salem House where she helped bring British books to the US. She eventually made her way to Pantheon’s Associate Publisher.

After fifteen years on the editorial side of the business, Marcy Posner Literary Agent made the jump to agenting. She spent over a decade at the William Morris Agency as an agent, Vice President, and Director of Foreign Rights. She then spent five years as president of her own agency, five years at Sterling Lord Literistic as an agent and Director of Foreign Rights, and now she’s happily at Folio. When working with her authors, Literary Agent Marcy Posner focuses editorially on how to make the book as strong as it can be.

Marcy Posner Literary Agent is interested in representing authors of fiction and nonfiction.
