She received an honorary doctorate from Wilmington University, Delaware. She was named the American Christian Fiction Writers Agent of the Year in 2007. She has written eight  books in her young adult Daughters of the Faith series. She followed them up with a series of fourteen books and a nonfiction book for adults. She was also won the famous Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest for the worst first line of a novel in children’s literature category.

Wendy Lawton Literary Agent started at Books & Such in 2005 and became Vice-president of the agency in 2011. Before Literary Agent Wendy Lawton became an agent she was a sculptor and designer of porcelain dolls. She made more than three hundred original editions. Her dolls were nominated for over fifty awards, the Dolls Award of Excellence (three times), the coveted DOTY (nine times), and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. Publishing Agent Wendy Lawton has served on the faculty of several major writers’ conferences.
