With a dozen years of collective experience as a literary agent, first at Wendy Sherman Associates and later as a Vice President at the Irene Goodman Literary Agency, she co-founded High Line Literary Collective and the Paper Over Board (2020) division with the goal of fostering an author-centric environment alongside a group of brilliant, diverse professionals with whom she has the utmost respect and adoration. Kimberly Perel has a MFA degree in Creative Writing from the New School where she studied world-renowned professional writers of fiction and nonfiction. She earned her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

Kimberly Perel Literary Agent is passionate about powerful writing, intricately woven storytelling, and delicious sentences. When she signs a new client, she creates a clear publishing plan and long-term career goal in tandem with the author’s current vision and future aspirations. In her spare time, Literary Agent Kimberly Perel co-curates the popular H.I.P. Lit event series. In 2012, she co-authored the book Wedding Cake for Breakfast: Essays on the First Year of Marriage (Berkley).
