Tawny Johnson Literary Agent was associated with the Christian retail and publishing industry since 1979. Her years of experience in bookstore retailing gave her the unique ability to recognize relevance and marketability. She was a store manager, regional manager, buyer, and marketing director for a chain of ten successful Christian bookstores before being hired by Multnomah Press. During her time at Multnomah, Literary Agent Tawny Johnson was the marketing and advertising manager. She was also instrumental in developing the company’s Foreign Rights division by promoting authors to foreign publishers at the International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany.

In 2014, Tawny Johnson Literary Agent became a literary agent with Don Jacobson and Jenni Burke at D.C. Jacobson & Associates. And most recently, Tawny joined forces with Jenni to lead the agency to an unprecedented new level of author care and excellence under the Illuminate banner. She felt her career as an agent was a rewarding culmination of all her past experience, coupled with her passion for exceptional writing, content depth, and theological integrity. She considered it a privilege to support her clients as they develop life-changing books.
