After nine of Mira’s students received 12 contract offers in nine months, Red Fox Literary agent Karen Grencik suggested that she might make a good agent, and offered to mentor her, providing in-depth training.

Prior to this training, Mira Reisberg Literary Agent’s was nicknamed “the Picture Book Whisperer” because of her editorial skills, her facility with art theory and art direction, and her innovative ideas. She also worked with Early Readers, Chapter Books, Middle Grade, and the right Young Adult story. During her career, she was mentored and taught many award-winners and best-sellers. Literary Agent Mira Reisberg launched Hummingbird Literary following 25-years of history in the field of children’s literature working as an award-winning illustrator, writer, editor, art director, designer, children’s literature and art education professor, and a teacher/mentor to many now successful children’s book creatives.
