Jill Corcoran Literary Agent was a literary agent with the Transatlantic Agency. She is no longer taking submissions. Book Agent opened the West Coast arm of Herman Agency in 2009, launched JCLA in 2013, and merged JCLA into Transatlantic in 2018. She earned an English degree from Stanford University and a Marketing and Finance MBA from the University of Chicago, School of Business.

Jill Corcoran Literary Agent sold over two hundred titles and represented award-winning illustrators and authors, including New York Times Bestsellers, the former US Children’s Poet Laureate, and Famous Monsters of Filmland/American Gothic Press. She has marketed everything from Kellogg’s Cereal to Disney toys. She has worked for Leo Burnett Advertising, LA Gear, Mattel, and her own company, LAUNCH! New Product Marketing.

Jill Corcoran Literary Agent created and edited the poetry anthology, DARE TO DREAM, CHANGE THE WORLD (Kane/Miller, 2012), which was honored with a California Reading Association’s 2012 Eureka! Silver Honor, the American Library Association’s 2013 Notable Books for a Global Society Award, and was named a Best Books of 2013 by Bank Street College of Education.

Jill Corcoran Literary Agent taught all over the world, in classes small and large. She worked with Kid-Lit College, SCBWI/Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Writing Pad, Writer’s Digest, A Path To Publishing, Central Coast Writing Conference, CYA/Children and Young Adult Writers and Illustrators Conference, Comic-Con International, RWA/Romance Writers of America, and the WOW Nonfiction Retreat, and many more.
