Literary Agent Jack Scovil Literary Agent began his career at the Scott Meredith Agency, where he spent 20 years, rising to senior v-p. In 1992, Scovil joined with two other agents to form the Scovil Chichak Galen Literary Agency, which today operates under the name of Scovil Galen Ghosh. Publishing Agent Jack Scovil was active in the firm’s affairs and the representation of his own clients until the onset of a brief illness just days before his death. Scovil worked with Norman Mailer, Carl Sagan, Arthur C. Clarke, Walter Anderson, Edward Klein, Larry Smith, Margaret Truman, James Brady, and many others. He was also a founding Advisory Board member of the M.F.A. low-residency writing program at Wilkes University. Book Agent Jack Scovil was an agent for more than 40 years.
